Tequila & Tonic
Prep time:
Drier than a Paloma and more interesting than a Gin & Tonic. Agave and the bitterness of quinine understand each other surprisingly well.
Ingredients
- 50 ml blanco tequila, 100% agave
- 120 ml well-chilled tonic water
- Large ice cubes
- Half a slice of grapefruit or lime
Preparation
- Chill the glass first with ice and a little water, then tip it out. Thirty seconds you will taste right to the end.
- Fill the glass to the top with ice and pour in the tequila.
- Add the tonic slowly, down the side of the glass, to keep the fizz.
- Give it one turn with a bar spoon, from the bottom up, and no more.
- Squeeze the grapefruit over the drink and drop it in. Lime works too, but grapefruit is what makes it special.
