
Sidecar
A refined and timeless sour. The balance between the warmth of the cognac, the sweetness of the orange liqueur, and the acidity of the lemon makes it a classic from the 1920s.
Ingredients
- 2 oz of cognac
- 1 oz of triple sec (Cointreau)
- 1 oz of fresh lemon juice
- sugar (for the rim, optional)
Preparation
- Moisten the rim of the glass with lemon and roll it in fine sugar (optional).
- In a cocktail shaker with ice, shake the cognac, triple sec and lemon.
- Double strain into the prepared cup.
- Garnish with a squeezed orange peel.
