Hanky Panky

Prep time:

A Negroni transformed by the bitter, medicinal touch of Fernet Branca. Created by Ada Coleman at the American Bar in London in 1925, it is sophisticated, complex, and surprisingly balanced.

Ingredients

  • 1.5 oz of gin
  • 1.5 oz of sweet red vermouth
  • 2 dashes of Fernet Branca

Preparation

  1. In a mixing glass with ice, combine the gin, vermouth, and Fernet Branca.
  2. Stir for 20-30 seconds until it is completely cold.
  3. Strain into a chilled cocktail glass.
  4. Squeeze the orange peel over the drink and add it as a garnish.
